Police rushed to a blazing house on Alexandra Road, Farnborough, just after 1.30pm on Tuesday, 17 July. The fire caused massive damage to the property and forced neighbours to evacuate for their safety.

Police hunt for mobile phone footage

Detectives say several onlookers filmed the fiery chaos on their phones. They want to see these clips urgently, as they could hold the key to cracking the case.

“We’re asking anyone who filmed the incident to come forward,” said Detective Sergeant Stephen Court. “Your footage could be vital to our investigation.”

Arrest made in suspected arson

A 33-year-old man from Farnborough has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. He remains in custody while police probe the fiery crime.
