Blaze Horror in Banbury: Suspected Arson Sparks Police Hunt

Thames Valley Police are on the lookout after a suspected arson fire broke out on Abbey Road, Banbury, in the early hours of Sunday, 22 July. The blaze started sometime between midnight and 1am, but thankfully, the property was empty and the fire was quickly contained.

Police Seek Eyewitnesses to Early Morning Fire

Detective Constable Rachel Edmunds from Banbury CID urged anyone who saw or heard anything around the time of the fire to come forward immediately. “Thankfully no one was inside the property at the time of the fire,” she confirmed.

Man Arrested But Released Under Investigation

A 30-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of arson but has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
