Police hunt teen gang after autistic girl spat on in Hayling Island park assault
Officers want to track down a young man caught in a photo linked to a sickening attack on an autistic schoolgirl in Hayling Park.
Attack on Vulnerable Girl Sparks Outrage
The incident happened between 6.55pm and 7.05pm in the south of Hayling Island. A group of teenage boys spat at the girl, leaving her traumatised.
Hate Crime Investigation Underway
PC Stuart Grover slammed the attackers: “This was an assault on a vulnerable person which left the victim feeling very distressed.”
He revealed the same gang may have targeted the girl before — chasing her with a lit cigarette in July, threatening to burn her face.
“We are treating these incidents as disability hate crimes and want to identify those involved,” Grover said.
