Woman Rescued from Roof in Lake by Firefighters

A woman has been rescued by emergency services from a flat roof in Lake. A fire crew from the Isle of Wight fire and rescue service were called just before 2pm on Wednesday afternoon (22nd August 2018) to Medeway in Lake on the Isle of Wight following the emergency call for help. Firefighters used a short extension ladder to rescue the woman who is understood to have been made to climb out of the window following a domestic argument with her partner. The woman in her 40’s was led safety firefighters from Shanklin. The woman who is understood to live at the property was shaken but unhurt. The matter has been left in the hands of Hampshire Constabulary.
