Man Charged with Murder of Woman in Ewell
A 41-year-old man has been charged with murder after a woman was fatally stabbed in Ewell last week. Ricardo Godinho, from Kingston Road, Epsom, was charged this evening (10 February).
Court Appearance Set for Monday
Godinho is due to appear at Staines Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 11 February. The victim, 39-year-old Aliny Mendes, died at the roadside shortly after police were alerted to the stabbing near the Sparrow Farm Road junction with London Road.
Investigation Now in Independent Hands
The case has been handed over to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) for further investigation.
