Dawn Raid at McColls: Teens Nabbed in Early Morning Robbery
Robbery rocked McColls store on Longstock Crescent at 6.15am, Monday 11 February. Thieves made off with cash and a haul of cigarettes.
17-Year-Old and 21-Year-Old Busted Over Raid
Police acted fast. On 14 February, officers arrested a 17-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, both from Southampton. The teenager faces robbery charges, while the man is suspected of assisting an offender. Both remain in custody.
Youth Charged Over String of Crimes
Earlier, on 12 February, a 15-year-old boy from Southampton was also arrested for the robbery. He was charged the very next day—not just for the McColls job but six additional offences.
