Major fuel leak at Gatwick airport causes long delays

Passengers arriving at Gatwick airport have been subject to long delays after a major fuel leaking on the apron at the airport.   [ytp_video source=”d707StYQ9gI”] Gatwick airport fire and West Sussex fire service are dealing with the leak that is being described as large. An area has been cordon off around the affected area and all staff who work on the apron have been called to assist with making the area safe and to further assist with a cleanup operation. It is understood that a contractor carrying work near the north terminal has struck an underground  fuel pipe.
