Shock as man, 23, dies in Eastleigh hit-and-run
Police are hunting for answers after a fatal collision in Eastleigh left a young man dead early Sunday morning.
Fatal crash on Woodside Avenue
At 5.44am on 10 March, officers rushed to Woodside Avenue following reports of two vehicles hitting a pedestrian. Tragically, 23-year-old Sagar Bhatti from Chandlers Ford was pronounced dead at the scene. Specialist officers are supporting his family through this horrific tragedy.
Police seek crucial witnesses
Detective Inspector Lee Macarthur, leading the investigation, revealed the probe is complex. He urgently appealed for witnesses to come forward, focusing on two key areas:
- Broadlands Avenue: Anyone who saw or heard a disturbance between 5am and 5.45am on Sunday is asked to step forward. CCTV footage could be vital.
- Woodside Avenue: Drivers or pedestrians who were on this road between 5.30am and 5.45am are urged to report any sightings or dashcam footage.
“Even the smallest details could crack this case,” said DI Macarthur. “Please contact us if you think you can help.”
