Witness appeal after fruit machine targeted during Margate burglary

Witnesses are being sought following a burglary at a Margate restaurant where thieves tried to steal a fruit machine. It was reported that the burglary at Brewer’s Fayre in Station Road took place shortly after 4am on Tuesday 12 March 2019. A fruit machine had been removed from the bar area of the restaurant and was found outside the building near the children’s play area. Officers would like to identify a man seen in the area at the time. He is described as white, aged between 39 and 44 years old and is 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall. He was also seen as having a gaunt face with defined cheekbones and a prominent nose. He was wearing black trainers, a light-coloured jacket and a baseball cap.
