Tragic Death of Sagar Bhatti: Police Launch Urgent Appeal for Witnesses
Detectives probing the death of 23-year-old Sagar Bhatti in Eastleigh have renewed their call for anyone with information to come forward. They want help piecing together Sagar’s movements on the night of Saturday, 9 March, and the early hours of Sunday, 10 March.

Detective Inspector Lee Macarthur, leading the investigation, said, “We know Sagar was out with friends and visited 1 and Eastleigh on the evening of 9 March. Later, he travelled by train from Winchester back to Eastleigh, then went to The Station pub. We believe he took a taxi to Boyatt Wood after that.”
“We urge anyone who saw Sagar that night or early Sunday morning to get in touch. Even if your information doesn’t seem directly related to the incident, it could prove crucial.”
Looking for Witnesses and CCTV Footage
- Police want anyone who saw or heard any disturbance in Broadlands Avenue between 3.30am and 5.45am on 10 March to come forward.
- If you were driving along Woodside Avenue between 5.30am and 5.45am and noticed anything unusual, or have dash cam footage, please contact investigators.

Fatal Collision on Woodside Avenue
Officers were called at 5.44am on Sunday, 10 March, after two vehicles hit a pedestrian on Woodside Avenue. Sagar Bhatti, from Avon Green, Chandlers Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene.
