Detectives are on the hunt after a 22-year-old man was shot in Walthamstow in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police raced to Penrhyn Avenue, E17, at just before 3am on 31 March following reports of gunfire. Officers and paramedics found the young man with a gunshot wound and rushed him to hospital.

Thankfully, the 22-year-old’s injuries are not life threatening. His next of kin have been informed, but no arrests have been made yet.

Trident and Area Crime Command Lead Investigation

The probe is being run by Trident and Area Crime Command detectives, who are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
