Notorious Burglar Breaks Out of Devon Prison After £76k Jewel Heist
Miley Connors, 24, the thief behind a spree that targeted 18 homes, looting over £76,000 worth of jewellery and valuables, has sparked a manhunt after fleeing a prison in Devon.
£76k Burglary Kingpin on the Run
Connors caused more than £3,000 in damage during his crime wave across Bracknell, Wokingham, Reading, and Hampshire. Caught and sentenced to eight and a half years at Reading Crown Court for conspiracy to commit burglary, he shocked authorities by making a daring escape from HMP Channings Wood in Newton Abbot, Devon on April 8.
Police Launch Urgent Hunt
Devon and Cornwall Police urge the public: “If you see Connors, do not approach him. Call 999 immediately.”
Connors was last spotted wearing a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans. He is a white male, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, with an Irish accent.
Escape Details and Appeal
- Connors fled prison in a car with three other people.
- The getaway vehicle has since been found and recovered by police.
- Authorities thank the public for helping prison staff identify the car and providing valuable information.
