Bike Crash Sparks Chaos on Shanklin’s Carter Road
Emergency crews rushed to Carter Road in Shanklin after a serious smash involving a motorcycle and its rider.
Rider Thrown Clear Near Busy Pelican Crossing
The biker was hurled off near the pelican crossing outside the Co-operative supermarket. Paramedics from the Isle of Wight ambulance service are treating the injured rider at the scene.
Traffic Nightmare Hits Key Bus Routes
The crash, reported just before 11am on Monday, is causing major delays. Southern Vectis confirmed Route 3 buses from Sandown to Shanklin cannot stop at Howard Road, Wilton Park Road, or Shanklin Railway Station because of the blockage.
