The Bembridge RNLI’s All-Weather Lifeboat has been involved in medivac from the Clipper Ventures yacht CV22 this evening. RNLB Alfred Albert Williams’ (Tamar All Weather Lifeboat 16-17) was launched on service at 11.20pm (Sunday 2nd June) at the request of UK (Solent) Coastguard to medivac a male crew member from the Clipper Venture 70 foot training yacht ‘CV22’ that was about about 7 miles South East of the Station heading back towards Bembridge. The lifeboat made good speed to reach CV22 and 2 of the lifeboat crew members were transferred across to the yacht to assess the casualty.
