Three Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Newham
Man, Two Women Held Over Murder Plot
Detectives have swooped on three suspects following a deadly stabbing in Newham. On Wednesday, 19 June, a 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder. Two females, aged 34 and 17, were nabbed on suspicion of conspiracy to murder. All three are locked up in separate police stations as the investigation heats up.
42-Year-Old Giedrius Juskauskas Fatally Stabbed
Police were called just after midnight on Monday, 17 June, after London Ambulance Service found an unresponsive man collapsed with stab wounds on Whalebone Lane, near West Ham Lane, E15. Officers arrived swiftly to discover 42-year-old Lithuanian national Giedrius Juskauskas had died at the scene at 1.01am.
Giedrius, who lived in the East Ham area, suffered fatal multiple stab wounds. A post-mortem confirmed the cause of death was hypovolemic shock due to the injuries. His next-of-kin have been informed.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Detective Chief Inspector Larry Smith from the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command is leading the probe. He said:
“Overnight, we have made three arrests but our investigation continues. I am urging anyone with information regarding this fatal stabbing to come forward and speak with my team. Were you in the vicinity of Whalebone Lane from around 00:30hrs? Did you see anything suspicious? Your information could prove vital to our enquiries.”
