A34 Northbound closed due to serious traffic collision

Traffic currently stopped on the A34 Northbound carriageway at Botley due to a serious traffic collision – Police and Traffic officers on scene dealing with the incident The A34 Northbound is currently closed from its junction with the A420 to the A44 near Oxford with delays of at least 30 minutes covering several miles of the northbound carriageway. This closure is due to a road traffic collision and Highways England has resources deployed working hard to restore normal conditions as soon as possible. For traffic approaching the closure locally, you are advised to expect disruption with extra journey time and may potentially have to re-route your journey. If travelling towards this area from much farther afield, you may wish to change your strategic route, allow extra travel time and follow guidance from our on-road variable message signs and media. Diversion route details and guidance is as follows; Please follow the Solid Diamond symbol Leave the A34 at the Milton interchange. At the rbt, use the 1st exit and join the A4130. Follow for approximately 2 miles to a roundabout at Rowstock. Use the 3rd exit and join the A417. Follow for approximately 5 miles into Wantage. Continue to a T junction with the A338 (Seesen Way). Turn right and join the A338. Follow out of Wantage. Continue for approximately 9 miles to the A420 Rbt. Use the 2nd exit and join the A420. Continue for approximately 5 miles to the A34 Botley Interchange. At the roundabout use the 1st exit to rejoin the A34 Northbound.
