Police launched a major search of the River Thames in Kingston after a man was spotted entering the water on Tuesday, 22 July. The 47-year-old reportedly jumped in from the riverside near Kingston High Street, started swimming — but never came back up.

Body Recovered Days Later

After an intensive search, officers found a body believed to be the missing man at around 4:30pm on Monday, 24 July. The discovery has brought a tragic end to the suspense surrounding the disappearance.

No Foul Play Suspected

The victim’s next-of-kin have been informed. Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner to investigate further.
