Police are appealing for assistance in finding a 9-year-old boy who is missing from home in Hackney. Malachi Servis, who will be ten years old on Monday 5 August, was last seen at home in Homerton on the evening of Saturday, 3 August. He is subsequently thought to have been in mobile phone contact with his mother in the early hours of Sunday morning, and urgent police enquiries are ongoing in respect of this. Malachi has family members who are bus drivers, and he frequently uses buses, in particular the Number 30 between Hackney Wick and Marble Arch. Officers are investigating a reported sighting of him on a Number 30 bus at around 1pm on Sunday, 4 August. Malachi may be wearing the same navy blue Ralph Lauren jacket as shown in the picture released by police. Anyone who may have seen him is asked to call police in Bethnal Green on 07500 850625, quoting CAD 3726/aug04. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
