Appeal after fatal collision in Faversham
Information is sought following a fatal collision in Throwley, near Faversham. The incident happened in Faversham Road at around 5.30pm on Thursday 3 October 2019 and involved a red and white Yamaha YZF R1 motorbike and a silver Volkswagen Transporter. The vehicles, which were travelling in opposite directions, collided at a bend in the road and the motorcyclist, a 51-year-old man from the Ramsgate area, died at the scene. Officers in Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances and are keen to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident. The investigating officers are also keen to obtain dash cam footage of either of the vehicles travelling in the moments leading up to the collision.
