Massive Water Main Burst Floods Finsbury Park Streets
Twelve fire engines and around 80 firefighters have rushed to the scene of a huge water main burst at the junction of Queens Drive and Princess Crescent, Finsbury Park. Specialist vehicles have also been deployed to tackle the flooding.
600m by 200m Area Underwater
An area roughly 600 by 200 metres has been submerged to a depth of about one metre. Firefighters are busy evacuating residents from affected homes as water continues to rise.
Road Closures and Emergency Response
Queens Drive and Brownswood Road are currently shut to all traffic. The London Fire Brigade was called at 7:47am, with crews from Holloway, Stoke Newington, Islington, Kentish Town, and Tottenham stations all on site.
