Commuters faced a nightmare evening as a signalling fault at East Croydon triggered widespread disruption across all southbound train services. The problem, first reported Wednesday night, has left routes through both East and West Croydon stations in turmoil.

Delays, Cancellations and Diversions

“A fault with the signalling system in the Croydon area is causing major disruption to trains,” said National Rail. “Trains may be delayed, cancelled, amended or diverted until the end of the day.”
