Second Man Nabbed Over Crowborough Woman’s Murder

Police have arrested a second suspect in the tragic killing of Nelly Myers in Crowborough. The 37-year-old man from Crawley was taken into custody early on Friday, December 20, on suspicion of murder.

Victim Found in Rotherfield Home

Nelly Myers’ body was discovered at a property in Court Meadow Close, Rotherfield, on the evening of Wednesday, December 18. Detective Chief Inspector Alex Geldart of the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team confirmed the fresh arrest.

“We have arrested a second man in connection with the murder of a woman,” said DCI Geldart.

Investigation Ongoing, Community Warned Against Rumours

Both suspects remain in custody as police continue their inquiries. Authorities stress this appears to be an isolated incident, urging the public to respect the victim’s family and avoid social media speculation.

“This will be, understandably, an extremely difficult time for the family and friends. Our specialist officers continue to provide support,” added DCI Geldart.
