Chaos at Bournemouth University: Campus on Lockdown

Bournemouth University is in lockdown after a shocking incident this afternoon. Students and staff have been told to stay indoors as police scramble to control the scene.

Armed Police and Emergency Services Swarm Campus

Dorset Police’s armed response team rushed to the Talbot Campus around 3pm on Friday. A man covered in blood was spotted on site, sparking emergency intervention. Rapid response paramedics are treating him, with additional ambulances called in for support.

The National Police air support unit has also deployed resources to help manage the unfolding situation. No one is allowed to enter or leave any university buildings while the operation continues.

Man With Knife Seen on Campus

Eyewitnesses report the bloodied man, believed to be armed with a knife, tried to get into one of the buildings. Details remain scarce as police contain the incident.

A university spokesperson said: “There is currently a police operation underway at Talbot Campus. We will provide more information when we have it but would ask you to avoid speculation at this time.”

Dorset Police have yet to comment publicly.
