Fatal Stabbing Shocks Southampton Block of Flats
A block of flats in Thornhill, Southampton, remains under heavy police guard following a reported fatal stabbing on Bursledon Road. Emergency services rushed to the scene just after 9pm on Wednesday evening.
Residents Fearful After Night of Chaos
The terrifying incident has left locals shaken, coming less than two weeks after another fatal stabbing nearby, which saw a 15-year-old boy from Andover charged. Onlookers reported seeing police, paramedics, and even a helicopter buzzing over the Thornhill estate.
Specialist officers deployed a drone during the tense operation. Eyewitnesses spotted between six and ten emergency vehicles lined up along the main road, with a heavy police and medical presence.
“I heard it was fatal and happened right above my flat. It’s all pretty scary,” said one resident.
Police Block Flats as Community Demands Action
Police have now sealed off the entrance to the block of flats. Another local claimed the stabbing took place near the KFC on the estate, adding to worries about safety.
Fed-up residents called for the return of a Section 60 order to help control rising violence in the area.
Police Remain Tight-Lipped
So far, Hampshire Police have not confirmed any details about the incident. Officials are keeping a close watch on the situation as investigations continue.
