McDonalds to ‘re-open in UK’ in May but ‘only for drive-thru and delivery’
Progress is being made to reopen Mcdonald’s restaurants in the UK by mid-May.
The process will start slowly, with food only available via delivery or from drive-throughs.
The news comes after McDonald’s reopened some of its French outlets for drive-through only.
The Irish Farmers Journal reports that the original plan would have seen restaurants closed until July, but that date has been brought forwards.
McDonald’s has 1,270 restaurants in the UK.
