Police are hunting witnesses after a serious crash in south London left an 80-something woman fighting for her life.

The smash happened around 11.15am on Sunday, April 26, at the busy junction of Streatham High Road and Becmead Avenue, SW16. A van collided with the elderly pedestrian, who was rushed to a south London hospital in critical condition.

Van Driver Arrested on Suspicion of Drug Driving

The driver of the van was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drug driving and taken into police custody.
