Man Stabbed in Shocking Afternoon Attack on Walnut Street
Police rushed to Walnut Street just before 4pm on Saturday after a brutal assault left a man in his 50s with serious stab wounds. He was rushed to hospital where his condition is now stable.
Investigation Underway, Police Hunt Three Suspects
Detectives have launched a full investigation and are urgently appealing for witnesses. Detective Sergeant Steve Craig of East CID said: “This incident has left a man with some very serious injuries and he is lucky to be alive.”
Descriptions of Attackers Released
The three suspects are described as Asian men aged 25-30:
- First: Bald or shaven head, medium build, average height, wearing a dark bubble gilet and white short-sleeved t-shirt
- Second: Wearing dark clothing
- Third: Wearing a black Nike Air top
DS Craig added: “We urgently need anyone who saw the attack or caught it on mobile phone, dashcam, or CCTV to come forward.”
