Man Airlifted After Horror Hit-and-Run at Crawley Train Station

A man was seriously injured and airlifted to a major trauma centre after a hit-and-run near Three Bridges Station, Crawley, on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services rushed to the scene just after 6:15pm. Paramedics and the Kent and Sussex Air Ambulance were quickly dispatched.

The victim was struck by a car and thrown into the taxi rank area, leaving a large crime scene in its wake. A man’s shoe was spotted in the middle of the mini roundabout, with clothing cut from the victim and a CEX bag found in the gutter nearby.

Investigation Underway, Road Closures Expected

Specialist police collision investigators are working alongside Sussex Roads Policing officers to uncover what happened.

Officers warn the area could be closed for some time as the probe continues. Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
