Hit-and-run horror in Three Bridges

Police revealed today that a man has been arrested after a terrifying hit-and-run where a 28-year-old victim was flung into the air like a ragdoll.

The smash happened at 6.10pm on Wednesday at Haslett Avenue East, Three Bridges, as three pedestrians were crossing from the railway station.

White Audi ploughs into victim and speeds off

A speeding white Audi hit the man then fled the scene. The car was later found abandoned nearby.

The injured man was rushed to Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, for urgent treatment.

Suspect hands himself in

A 23-year-old Crawley man turned himself in to police. He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop after a road traffic collision. After questioning, he was released under caution.
