East London Man Arrested Over Kent Charity Shop Vandalism Spree

A 43-year-old man from east London was arrested Thursday morning for a wave of criminal damage targeting charity shops across west Kent.

Charity Shops Smashed in Multi-County Spree

The suspect was caught in Waltham Forest at around 8.30am on Wednesday 8 July 2020 and remains in custody. Over the last month, multiple windows at Hospices of Hope charity stores have been smashed in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, and near Sevenoaks.

Damages have run into tens of thousands of pounds. The vandalism didn’t stop there—shops in Faversham, Bexley, and Pimlico in central London were also targeted.
