Knife Attack and Motorbike Theft Shock Ramsgate
Three suspects have been charged following a violent assault and motorbike theft in Ramsgate, Kent.
Man Attacked and Car Damaged in Princess Margaret Avenue
Kent Police rushed to Princess Margaret Avenue at around 9pm on Tuesday 25 February after a man in his 40s was reportedly assaulted. The victim suffered a hand injury serious enough to require hospital treatment. During the chaos, a nearby car was also damaged.
Four Arrested in Connection to Assault and Bike Theft
Officers made four arrests the following day linked to the assault and the theft of a motorbike from Westwood Cross motorcycle bays at 2.45pm on the same day.
- Daniel Tolhurst, 18, from Sturry Road, Canterbury, faces multiple charges:
- Grievous bodily harm with intent
- Possession of a knife in public
- Robbery
- Threatening with a knife and a bicycle lock
- Theft of a motorbike
- Criminal damage to a car
- Actual bodily harm for a separate incident in Canterbury on 13 February
Tolhurst appeared via virtual link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Friday 28 February and was remanded in custody. He is due back at Canterbury Crown Court on 30 March.
Teenagers Also Charged, Another Man Released on Bail
- A 15-year-old boy from London was charged with motorbike theft and bailed to appear at Margate Magistrates’ Court on 2 April.
- A 15-year-old girl from Ramsgate was charged with assisting an offender and also due at Margate Magistrates’ Court on 2 April.
- A 19-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested over assault and vehicle theft but has been released on bail until 13 March pending further enquiries.
