Chelmsford Clampdown: Dispersal Order Targets Unauthorised Rave
A dispersal order has been slapped on parts of Chelmsford after police caught wind of a planned unauthorised massive gathering.
Crackdown Over Noise, Drugs and Disorder
The move comes after a string of anti-social behaviour complaints, including loud noise, reported drug use, and large crowds packing the streets.
Where and When: Two Days of Tough Policing
The order kicks in at 6pm on Friday, July 10, and runs until 6pm Sunday, July 12. It covers hotspots like Ingatestone Road, Highwood Road, Ivy Barns Lane and the surrounding area.
Police Ready to Act
“The order gives officers the powers to direct anyone causing anti-social behaviour to leave the area,” said Inspector Barry Booth.
“Breaching any direction is a criminal offence. We will use policing powers as appropriate to stamp out anti-social and criminal behaviour.”
