Serious Crash Shuts A3M Southbound in Hampshire

The A3M is closed southbound between junction 2 (near Horndean) and junction 3 (near Havant) after a serious collision.

Hampshire Police are at the scene, with Highways England on their way to manage traffic. The road closure is expected to last for several hours as collision investigation work takes place.

Traffic Diversions in Place

Drivers heading southbound on the A3(M) should leave at junction 2 and follow the solid triangle diversion signs:

1. At the junction 2 roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto B2149 (Dell Piece West).
2. Continue to the A3 Portsmouth Road junction, then turn left to join the A3.
3. Travel about 2 miles into Waterlooville.
4. At the B2150 Hulbert Road roundabout, take the 1st exit onto the B2150 dual carriageway.
5. Follow this road to the A3(M) junction 3 interchange.
6. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit to rejoin the A3(M) southbound.

Motorists are urged to allow extra travel time and follow all diversion signs carefully.
