Desperate Rescue Effort Comes Up Empty

HM Coastguard launched a frantic search after a 999 call just before 6.40pm reported three teens cut off by the tide. One 15-year-old managed to swim to safety and was treated by paramedics.

Teams from Lytham, Fleetwood, and Caernarfon, plus multiple helicopters, RNLI lifeboats, and Lancashire Police scoured the waters through the night.

Search Operation Suspended, Family Left in Heartbreak

“Following a comprehensive search effort made by all, sadly the brothers have not been found and a decision has been taken to suspend the search. Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved,” said Danny Jamson, HM Coastguard Area Commander.

The community and emergency teams continue to mourn as the search draws to a heartbreaking close.
