Massive Lorry Tailback Hits M20 and A20 Towards Dover
The M20 motorway towards Dover is grinding to a halt thanks to Operation TAP. A colossal queue of lorries has snarled traffic on the A20 as freight hauliers flood the route to the Port of Dover.
Lane Closures Add to Traffic Mayhem
One lane is shut on the eastbound A20 between A260 1 Road (Folkestone) and the A2 Jubilee Way. The left lane is reserved exclusively for lorries heading to Dover port. All other vehicles must stick to the right lane.
Police Urge Drivers to Avoid the Jam
Police and Highways England are warning motorists to seek alternative routes where possible. They say delays could last for hours as the port deals with a tidal wave of freight traffic.
