Police in essex are investigating an assault on an 18-year-old man in Basildon.
He was driving a blue Ford Focus along Hockley Road at around 11.10pm on Thursday 1 October when he heard someone call his name.
His window was open and he was assaulted through the window by a group of men.
He was punched in the face a number of times and suffered two small cuts to his arm. He did not see what weapon was used.
He was taken to hospital and has since been released following treatment.
The suspects ran off towards Long Riding.
