Daring 4am Heist! Thief Tears Through Wall to Loot Banks Jewellers

Early Morning Break-In Shocks Preston

Police rushed to Banks Jewellers on Lune Street at 4.45am on Monday, October 5, 2020, after reports of a major burglary. On arrival, officers found a significant haul of jewellery had vanished.

Power Tools and Fast Getaway

Detectives revealed the thief struck just before 4.30am. Using power tools, the man smashed through the adjoining wall from a neighbouring shop, Plug and Taps. He then smashed display cases and grabbed a large quantity of jewellery, escaping within five minutes.

Police Hunt for Witnesses and Jewellery Buyers

Detective Constable Mark Thornton of Preston CID said:

“An investigation has been launched following this brazen theft. We’re urging anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward, especially if you saw suspicious behaviour or know someone who’s suddenly come into a large stash of jewellery.”

“If you’ve been offered jewellery for sale today, please contact us immediately.”
