A woman has been charged following allegations a family were racially abused.
Teresa Jefferies, 58, was arrested on Sunday 11 October in relation to the incidents last month in Chinook, Colchester.
She has been charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress; using threatening or abusive words or behaviour that was racially or religiously aggravated with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress; and breaching a restraining order.
Jefferies, of Chinook, Colchester, denied the charges at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 12 October and is due to stand trial at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on 22 March.
