Couple Charged Over Wokingham Burglary and Violent Assault
A man and woman have been hit with serious charges following a brazen burglary in Wokingham.
Burglary at Dawn
Andrew Guard, 32, and Donna Preston, 48 — both with no fixed address — face multiple charges after a break-in on Seaford Road at 4:30am on Friday, 9 October. Thieves made off with a large haul of collectible items from the property.
More Than Just Burglary
Guard’s troubles don’t end there. He also faces two counts of grievous bodily harm (GBH) and one count of common assault over a violent incident in Shinfield on 20 July 2020.
Locked Up Ahead of Court
Both Guard and Preston were charged on Tuesday, 13 October, and are now remanded in custody. They will face Reading Crown Court on a date yet to be confirmed.
