Hit-and-Run Shocker in Pontefract

Police are hunting the driver of a white van involved in a hit-and-run on Wakefield Road, Pontefract.

Early Morning Collision

At 6:45am on Friday, 23 October, a woman walking towards Pontefract was struck near the Barracks Business Centre on Queens Avenue.

The white van was heading from Pontefract to Featherstone when it crashed into her and sped off without stopping.

Victim Injured, Driver at Large

The woman suffered a fractured arm in the collision. Officers urgently want the van driver or anyone who saw what happened to come forward.
