Two men have been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary at a pub in Tamworth – UKNIP



It’s after officers were called to reports of an ongoing break-in at a business in Lichfield Street shortly before 10:30 last night (Monday 2 November).

It’s reported a group of men – armed with weapons – tried to enter the property, smashing in windows and doors before making off in a white van.

Detective Sergeant Kiley Rounds from force CID South said: “We believe this incident last night is connected to two others where businesses – including a restaurant in Church uk/news/uk/Street" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Street" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="157850">Street – have had their windows smashed.

“We’re eager for anyone with any information or footage to get in touch so as to help with our investigation.”

A 52-year-old from tamworth/">Tamworth" target="_blank" rel="noopener" title="Tamworth" data-wpil-keyword-link="linked" data-wpil-monitor-id="118817">Tamworth and a 38-year-old from Birmingham have been arrested in connection with the three incidents. They remain in police custody at this time.
