Four Attacks in Just Over an Hour

A spree of four separate sexual assaults targeted women jogging along a popular Didcot route last Tuesday evening. All four incidents happened between 7pm and 8.15pm on November 10, along Broadway and Wantage Road.

The first victim was approached near the traffic lights by UTC on Wantage Road at 7pm, where a man touched her inappropriately over her clothes. Two more attacks followed around 8pm opposite the Broadway fire station, and the final assault happened near Didcot Hospital at 8.15pm.

Sketched Suspect: Dark-Clad, Masked Man with Possible French Accent

The suspect is described as a black male, aged mid-20s to early 30s, standing around 6ft tall with a medium or athletic build. He wore black clothing, a surgical mask, a dark beanie hat, and possibly a scarf.

One victim noted he spoke with a deep voice, maybe a French accent, and might have worn a gold earring.

Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward

PC Alyssa Weymouth from Didcot police station said: “This looks like a linked string of assaults targeting women out running, and we have a detailed description of the suspect.”

She added: “If you were in Didcot between 7pm and 8:30pm last Tuesday and saw anything suspicious, please get in touch. We’re especially urging anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage to check it and contact us.”
