Masked Thugs Attack Elderly Sisters in Brazen Home Invasion
A 70-year-old woman and her 58-year-old sister faced a terrifying ordeal yesterday afternoon in Corsham’s Bath Road area. At around 12.20pm, a masked thug forced his way into their home, pushing the older woman before demanding cash.
Brutal Home Raid Leaves Elderly Woman Injured
The intruder barged in, grabbed a gold cosmetics pouch branded with “Pineapple” containing just £8, then dragged the woman through the rooms, leaving bruises on her arm. A second crook soon joined the chaos inside the house. Thankfully, the 70-year-old broke free and ran outside to raise the alarm.
Suspects Flee, Police Seek Dashcam Clues
The pair made off towards Pickwick Road. The main suspect is described as a man in his 20s, medium build, wearing a dark grey hoodie and a disturbing brown and beige mask featuring a face design. He also wore dark orange gloves, possibly fingerless.
“The money stolen is trivial compared to the violation these two elderly women suffered in their own home,” said PC Sarah Chivers from the North West Community Policing Team.
“They had every right to feel safe but were horribly injured. We need anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious, or who has dashcam footage around the time, to come forward.”
