Tragic Deaths of Young Mum and Toddler in West London
The Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) has named the woman and child found dead in Hounslow.
They were 25-year-old Shiwangi Bagoan and her two-year-old daughter, Ziana Bagoan. Both were discovered at a home in Old Meadow Lane on Monday afternoon.
Police Called to Chilling Scene in Hounslow
London Ambulance Service alerted police at 4:08pm on 14 December. Officers and paramedics arrived to find Shiwangi and little Ziana already deceased at the scene.
Detectives say the investigation is in its early stages but currently believe no one else was involved.
Post Mortems to Shed Light on Deaths
- Shiwangi’s post mortem is set for Wednesday, 16 December
- Ziana’s is scheduled for Thursday, 17 December
Investigator’s Heartfelt Statement
“This is a tragic incident. We are extremely saddened by the deaths of Shiwangi, a young mother, and her daughter,” said DCI Helen Rance, leading the inquiry.
“Our deepest condolences go to her family, friends, and colleagues at this difficult and upsetting time. Enquiries continue as we investigate the circumstances around their deaths.”
