Tragic Crash Claims Life of Beloved Essex Cop PC Drew Kirk
PC Andrew ‘Drew’ Kirk, 41, a devoted Essex Police officer for 18 years, died instantly in a fatal crash while riding his motorbike off-duty along the A414 in Writtle on December 17.

Drew was struck by a lorry at around 1.55pm. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The loss has sent shockwaves through the local force and community.
Family Mourns Dedicated Dad and Husband
“Drew was a wonderful husband and a proud, dedicated father to our daughter,” said his wife Wendy. “He loved playing and watching rugby, especially his daughter’s matches. He was a great friend to everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.”
