Fatal A303 Smash Near Charnage: Man Dies, Others Injured
Wiltshire Police launch urgent witness appeal after a deadly multi-vehicle crash on the A303 near Charnage on Sunday morning (29 June).
Deadly Collision on A303
At around 10.30am, a Citroen C5 heading eastbound on the single carriageway section of the A303 collided with three motorcycles.
- One motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, tragically died at the scene.
- A second rider suffered life-changing injuries.
- The third motorcyclist escaped without injury.
Man Arrested Over Fatal Crash
A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of:
- Causing death by dangerous driving
- Causing serious injury by dangerous driving
- Drug driving
He remains in police custody as Wiltshire’s Serious Collision Investigation Team (SCIT) probes the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Wiltshire Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area to come forward immediately.
