Shock and disgust have hit the community after yet another ruthless attack on headstones at Ann’s Hill Cemetery. Locals are left fuming as vandals deface memorials, causing thousands of pounds in damage.

Police Launch New Investigation – Need Your Help

Hampshire police are on the case, investigating the latest spray-paint vandalism spree. Officers urge anyone with information or CCTV footage to step forward and help catch the culprits. “We have been at the scene within the last two hours and will keep patrolling the area in the coming days,” police said.

Master Stonemasons Rush in to Restore Damage

Generous members of the Guild of Master Stonemasons volunteered to professionally clean and repair the worst-hit headstones. They even added new lettering to preserve dignity for grieving families.

A specialist monumental mason is set to visit shortly, ensuring well-meaning locals don’t accidentally worsen the damage by attempting to clean the vandalism themselves.

Previous Attack in March 2021

  • On 6th March 2021, around 15 headstones were defaced with paint.
  • Local police responded swiftly but the damage weighed heavily on the community.
