Man Run Over and Killed in Sheldon Car Park
West Midlands Police have launched a murder probe after a shocking hit-and-run in Sheldon last night.
Disturbance at Halfords Car Park
Officers were called just before midnight to reports of disorder at the Halfords car park on Coventry Road. On arrival, they found a 20-year-old man trapped under a white VW, having been run over.
Suspect Held by Public
The victim suffered serious head injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after. Passersby detained a 25-year-old man at the scene, who was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Ongoing Investigation, CCTV Sought
Police remain on site, gathering CCTV footage and supporting the victim’s family. A post-mortem will take place in due course.
