Serious Crash at Kingston Road Leaves Man with Life-Changing Injuries
A shocking collision at the A245 Kingston Road and Randalls Road junction near the BP petrol station has left a man with serious leg injuries. The crash happened around 5pm today as the victim was with his family.
Air Ambulance Rushes Injured Man to Hospital
The victim was airlifted to hospital. His injuries are believed to be life-changing, though thankfully not life-threatening. The HGV driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. No arrests have been made.
Road Closures and Police Appeal for Witnesses
The A245 Kingston Road has been closed while investigators work to uncover the cause of the smash. Police urge anyone who was at the BP station, or with dash-cam or helmet-cam footage from 4.50pm to 5.10pm, to come forward.
“We ask the public not to speculate and to allow our Serious Collision Investigation Unit to carry out their work,” said officers.
