Man Arrested for Brutal Assault on Woman in Lenton
Police rushed to Calver Close, Lenton, at 8.30am on 17 April 2021 after reports of a man attacking a woman. The victim was allegedly strangled, shoved, and punched in the face, leaving her with a bruised left eye.
Khalid Elmi Charged with Actual Bodily Harm
Khalid Elmi, 28, from Hogarth Street in St Ann’s, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with actual bodily harm and remanded in custody. Elmi is set to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 19 April 2021.

Inspector Sam Austin of Nottinghamshire Police said: “Officers were quickly on the scene to start their investigation and a man was located and arrested.”
